I am using the One Blog theme and have added my pictures to the Gallery Page. There is an option to ass captions to my photos, but the captions do not show on the front end. How can I get the captions I add to my media files to show as they scroll through the pictures on my gallery page?

Unfortunately you can not display the caption with OneBlog gallery plugin. If you want to display the caption for the pictures I recommend you to use a WP plugin for gallery, for example a simple plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/tiled-gallery-carousel-without-jetpack/
